Booking
The best way to enquire about a booking is to drop us an email to let us know your requirements. Don't forget to include information about the date and location of your event, how many children / adults will be attending and which services you are enquiring about.
We will always send out confirmation of your booking (booking contract), deposit details and a copy of our disclaimer. For corporate events you will also receive a copy of our risk assessment and our public liability insurance. You should carefully check the details of the booking contract, sign and return to us to agree to the terms of hire and payment. Once the contract details are agreed you are all booked in and ready to send out your party invites.
We do advise early booking as we are often booked up well in advance, but don't let that put you off making a last minute enquiry as you never know!
As a guide, our Face Painter can paint approx 10 good quality faces per hour, depending on the designs chosen by the children. During a 2 hour booking, our Face Painter is able to face paint approx. 20 children, depending on the length of stopping time for any party food. Alternatively, if you book both face painting and glitter tattoos together, then more children may be able to be catered for during the time period, although this will be completely dependent on how many children choose a face paint over a glitter tattoo. This is an average speed for a professional Face Painter painting good quality faces. We do not take larger bookings (more children squeezed into less time) as we are not willing to sacrifice on quality and detail or have disappointed children!
For glitter tattoos only, we are able to apply approx 15 per hour, depending on the designs chosen by the children. As these are more costly than face painting, a slightly higher rate is charged.
We do not offer face painting or glitter tattoos to children under the age of 3 years as our products are not recommended for use on the under 3's and therefore this would invalidate our insurance.
Prices
Children’s Birthday Parties
Generally a children’s birthday party will last 2-3 hours. Happy Smiling Faces operates a minimum 2 hour booking.
Please email us with your requirements and we will send you a competative quote. You will need to let us know the number of children that will be attending your party, how long you anticipate your party will last, whether you require face painting, glitter tattoos or both, and if possible the location, date and time of your party.
Other Events
For other events please email us with your requirements and we will be happy to provide you with a price.
Party Advice
If you are expecting a higher number of children to attend the party, then you may decide to book Happy Smiling Faces for glitter tattoos only.
Please bear in mind, stopping the party for food time does eat into the amount of painting time available.
Our Face Painter will arrive at your address approx. 15-30 mins before the start of the party to set up. Packing away will take approx. 10-15 mins. If you are hosting the party in your own home, it is advisable to put an old sheet or cover on the floor where you would like our Glitter Tattoo Artist to set up to avoid lots of glitter invading your carpet.
It is the responsibility of the person hiring us to ensure that the parents/guardians of those attending are aware that face painting and/or glitter tattoos are taking place. Any child who should not be painted or tattooed should be made known to the face painter / glitter tattoo artist. We will otherwise assume that all children are able to be painted/have a glitter tattoo applied.
